Aim of the project was to improve the visibility and accessibility of this heritage using the latest free and open source tools for processing, cataloguing and web publishing the maps. The resulting architecture should therefore assist the State Archive of Como in managing its cartographic contents. After a pre-processing consisting of. Onychophora are carnivorous, and feed primarily on arthropods. They capture their prey by entangling it in threads of clear, sticky slime that is ejected from the oral tubes on either side of the head. Very little is known about the feeding ecology of onychophorans in their natural environment. Velvet worms (Onychophora) are not arthropods; they have soft bodies, and look like worms with legs. They're a sort of evolutionary intermediate between annelids (segmented worms like earthworms and leeches) and arthropods. Interestingly, they capture prey by spitting glue out onto them!
